Review:
Well
done suspense drama with Jeff Bridges playing an ex-football player, hired
by a ruthless L.A. nightclub owner (played by James Woods) to find his
missing mistress (Rachel Ward), who skipped out on him with $50,000.00.
As Bridges tracks Ward down on an island in Mexico, he falls in love with
her and ends up involved in corruption, murder and mystery.
Beautiful locations enhance this well made film.

Trivia:
Phil Collins was contacted by director Taylor Hackford to record a song
for the movie. Collins had written "Against All Odds" in
1981 for his first solo album, "Face Value", and the song was
originally entitled, "How Can You Just Sit There" - however
Collins left the song off of the album because he felt he had too many
ballads on "Face Value" already. After Phil Collins's contact
with Taylor Hackford, he recorded the song in two days, one day in New
York, the other in Los Angeles.
Goofs:
Continuity: The blood disappears from Terry's hand (Jeff Bridges) as he
runs out of the building after tending to Hank (Alex Karras).
